business owners will be looking to transfer this asset to the next generation
or to sell it to an enterprising twenty/thirty-something willing to take a risk
and become a business owner.
Unfortunately, buying a business is not an easy undertaking

Jeff Fialky is an Associate with Springfield based law firm Bacon
Wilson, P.C. and a member of the firm’s corporate and commercial department
where he specializes in sophisticated business and commercial real estate
transactions. In addition to his legal
efforts Jeff is the President of the Young Professional Society of Great
Springfield and a member of several charitable and non-profit boards. Jeff spends his spare time with his wife
Emily and two children and prefers his gin martini’s shaken.
Michael Vann is a principal with the Vann Group, LLC a
strategic advisory services firm with offices in Springfield and Boston. For
over ten years he has lead the firm’s merger and acquisition division and has
represented both buyers and sellers of privately held family businesses. A serial entrepreneur, Michael has been
involved in starting several companies and serves as the Vice President of
Alden Credit Union. He spends his free
time with his wife Amanda and two daughters drinking wine and grilling various store bought animals.
